Equipment Replacement

Life Expectancy

There are many factors that affect the life expectancy of commercial HVAC equipment, including proper maintenance, design conditions, proper installation, and equipment manufacturing quality. However, as a general rule, HVAC equipment has a 15 to 20 year life expectancy.

As HVAC equipment ages, the maintenance and repair costs, along with the inefficiency of older units, eventually become high enough that replacing the aging equipment with new equipment makes financial sense. Additionally, older HVAC equipment uses R-22 refrigerant, which is being phased out by the federal government. Because of this, the costs of R-22 will continue to rise dramatically going forward, eventually rendering the servicing of these units to be cost prohibitive. Replacing these units with equipment that uses R-410a refrigerant is a sound investment.

Financing and Incentives

Numerous financing options are available for HVAC equipment replacement and energy improvements. There are also many government and utility incentives and grants available, including through the City of Seattle.

Planned Replacement

As the costs of maintaining and repairing your existing equipment continue to rise, planning to have Evergreen replace your equipment is a sound investment. We can help you determine what system options will save you the maximum dollars over time. We can also help you find the best financing solutions, and detail what grants and government incentives may be available to you.

Emergency Replacement

If your equipment has failed and you are in need of an emergency equipment replacement, we are able to get you taken care of very quickly. Our team of professionals, which we call “Team Turnkey,” is able to handle every part of the process, making Evergreen a 1-stop-shop for your entire project. We are able to handle all of the following:

  • Structural Engineering
  • Electrical
  • Roofing
  • Gas Piping
  • Sheet Metal Fabrication (we have our own shop)

Comprehensive Solutions

Before we ever replace a piece of equipment, we take a look at your building’s HVAC system as a whole, making sure that whatever we install will allow the entire system to work in an optimal way. Team Turnkey is able to examine the entire HVAC system, allowing us to provide solutions that are comprehensive, rather than a “bandaid” that will cause more problems down the road.
